the city. Its location is quite busy but
very easy to reach due to the fact that

The bedrooms are medium to large, but vary
slightly in size due to the age of the building.
They are decorated in a modern style with
traditional touches, and offer a very good
level of comfort. The bathrooms are also
in good condition.
There are 2 Restaurants - one of them is
a snack restaurant, and the other is a la
carte. Both specialise in Dutch cuisine.
This is a very good hotel which is in the
perfect location.

Located
in the centre of Amsterdam, next to the
Magna Plaza shopping centre which used to
be the old post office, this hotel is perfectly
located to see all the main tourist attractions
of Amsterdam. It is also within walking
distance of Central station.
The bedrooms have recently been renovated.
All rooms are mainly medium in size and
those overlooking the main street are well
insulated. As this is an old building, room
sizes do tend to vary.
This is located on the ground floor and
is very popular with hotel guests and tourists.
It serves traditional Dutch cuisine and
is renowned for its steaks.

within an industrial site. There is a train station
close by for connections to the centre of Amsterdam
and a courtesy bus to and from the airport.
All of the large rooms are extremely attractive

and design dark blues and reds are contrasted
with bright splashes of yellow and light wooden
furniture. Perhaps their best feature are the
huge double beds and exceptional marble bathrooms.
The hotel is a large, modern building consisting
of glass panelling with an impressive entrance.

in the very heart of Amsterdam, close to Dam Square,
Anne Franks house and all the major attractions
that Amsterdam has to offer.
The bedrooms are all different sizes but generally
they are medium and kept in good condition. They
are traditionally decorated in rich red and yellow
and some have a canal view. The bathrooms are
also in good condition.
This is an excellent, family run hotel with friendly
staff, however, the steep staircase at the entrance
is not ideal for everybody.
Located on the first floor, this room is fairly
small and serves breakfast only.

This
hotel is located near the airport on the road
to Haarlem overlooking the surrounding countryside.
All the medium sized rooms are double glazed and
standard in both size and decor. They are modern
and decorated in similar colours to the public
areas with up-to-date, white tiled bathrooms.
The hotel offers quality at reasonable prices,
and although the location can be a disadvantage,
it is at the same time very quiet however. There
is a shuttle bus to the airport where there are
connections into the centre of Amsterdam and to
the rest of Holland and even Europe.
The restaurant caters for both group and individual
guests offering a good selection of local and
international dishes.

This
hotel is located in the heart of the city overlooking
the canal, and opposite the opera house of Amsterdam
'De Stopera.' There is also easy access to the
famous Rembrandt Plein with it's terraces and
shops. This is not the quietest spot in town,
but it is a prime location.
The rooms are medium sized and are in good condition,
but vary in shape as the building is old. A small
percentage of the rooms were recently totally
refurbished in bright, contrasting colours and
are in exceptional condition. The older rooms
are also modern in style with pleasant decor and
an acceptable level of comfort. The bathrooms
of these rooms are basic and in fair/good condition,
as opposed to the excellent quality of the new
ones.

SCHIPHOL AIRPORT
One
of the first hotels to be built in this area,
it overlooks Schiphol airport. The whole of the
airport complex is in the middle of major expansion,
when completed will be one of the most important
airports in Europe.
The bedrooms are of typical Hilton standard with
two double beds in each twin room. They are medium
to large in size and decorated fairly modernly.
Bathrooms are of medium size and decorated in
light brown.

INN
This
hotel is located close to the busy congress centre
'De Rai', and a short drive from the city centre.
It is very accessible due to the fact that numerous
buses and trams, as well as the motorway and railway
station which are close by.
All bedrooms have air conditioning and were renovated
in 1996 and are in good condition. About 50% have
2 queen size beds and the rest have 1 king size
bed. The colour scheme is predominantly blue,
yellow and pink and all rooms are medium sized
although some are larger than others.

This
hotel is located in the quiet part of the wellknown
P.C.Hoofstraat where the best fashion houses are
based. The hotel joins onto the Vondelpark, and
the historical city centre. The LeidNOVlein and
countless restaurants and bars are all within
walking distance, as are the famous museums.
The rooms are medium to large in size and whilst
basic they contain all the necessary facilities.
They have a varied colour scheme which is predominantly
blue/brown with formica furniture.
There is only a breakfast room in this hotel but
it is bright and airy with a pink decor and in
the summer one can eat on the terrace.

This
hotel is located close to the airport and offers
a shuttle service to and from the airport meaning
that the connections to the city centre are excellent,
as are the connections to the rest of Europe.
The bedrooms are all standard and are medium sized
and in good condition. They are basic but functional
and are double glazed so as not to get any disturbance
from the airport traffic.
This is very much a group hotel as everything
is geared up to volume with the exception of the
restaurant. The shuttle bus means that even though
